Qiddiya is envisioned as Saudi Arabia’s capital of entertainment, sports, and culture, designed to become a global destination where creativity and play redefine urban life. Located just outside Riyadh, the city spans more than 35 square kilometers and is planned to accommodate a population of around 600,000 people. It is being developed as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s bold blueprint to diversify its economy, create jobs, and enhance quality of life. Qiddiya will host world-class attractions—theme parks, sports arenas, cultural venues, and natural landscapes—making it a hub for experiences that enrich residents and attract millions of international visitors.

Owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) through Qiddiya Investment Company, the project is one of the Kingdom’s flagship giga-developments. More than an entertainment hub, it is a catalyst for economic diversification and social transformation—empowering Saudi youth, creating new industries, and fostering a more open and dynamic society. By combining investment, innovation, and lifestyle change, Qiddiya embodies the ambition of Vision 2030 and positions Saudi Arabia as a leading global destination for culture, play, and opportunity.

Our Role Supporting Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC)

One of our founders was previously the Chief Development Officer for all Qiddiya districts, establishing an operating model, governance framework and scaling and supporting the development teams. Haptic RE continues to support Qiddiya in a senior advisory role leading the development team for the City’s Central Business District, comprising 8 million m² of product. Our role has spanned accountability for shaping the Development Brief through to securing approval of the Concept Masterplan, ensuring the CBD is positioned as the commercial and cultural heart of the city within a framework designed to grow organically into the future. We have also been accountable for the detailed masterplanning of the Uptown District, envisioned as the e-gaming capital of the world, with immersive mixed-use gaming realms, the MBS Stadium, a world-class Performing Arts Centre, and two transit-oriented developments integrated with the intercity metro and Qiddiya Express bullet train. In parallel, we are setting operating rhythms across all districts to establish common standards, while chairing key project control groups and contributing to critical steering committees. Through this work, we are helping Qiddiya transition from vision to implementation, embedding robust governance, design excellence, and delivery discipline to shape one of the world’s most ambitious new urban centres.
