EUSTON REDEVELOPMENT, LONDON

The Euston Redevelopment is one of the UK’s most significant city-shaping opportunities, integrating a new high-speed rail terminus, major transport interchange and a substantial programme of mixed-use development within a highly constrained central London setting. The vision seeks to transform a complex rail corridor into a connected series of streets, public spaces and development parcels that integrate with surrounding neighbourhoods while supporting long-term economic growth.

The project lies at the heart of a community that has lived with the disruption, severance and uncertainty associated with major infrastructure over many years and is in need of support. A central priority of the redevelopment is to ensure that investment delivers tangible benefits for local residents such as accessibility, social amenities and opportunity, while responding sensitively to concerns around change, construction impact and displacement. The Project required sustained engagement, transparency and advocacy to build trust and demonstrate credible community outcomes.

The scale and duration of the programme, spanning multiple phases and agencies, demands careful alignment between planning, engineering, commercial and social objectives. Success relies on establishing a coherent development framework, robust governance structures and an approach to stewardship capable of guiding the site through decades of delivery and change.

Our Role at Euston

In a previous capacity, one of our founders served as Project Director for the Euston Redevelopment, leading the project through early-stage masterplanning and government approvals. This included close collaboration with the Commercial Development team at HS2, the Department for Transport’s delivery vehicle for the UK’s high-speed rail programme, to shape development scenarios that could integrate effectively with rail infrastructure and long-term operational requirements.

Responsibilities encompassed coordination of multidisciplinary technical teams, development of the overarching framework plan, navigation of complex governance processes and alignment between national infrastructure objectives and local regeneration priorities. The role also involved regular engagement with senior officials at the Department for Transport and leadership within the London Borough of Camden, supporting decision-making and establishing a pathway for future delivery partnerships.
